Hi we had to move a white hydrangea
This summer and re planted it has now gone brown all over with a few small green shoots. What do I need to do with this

Answers

Nothing at the moment, except leave it to recover. Any tidying or pruning that needs doing should be left till spring.

Unless it's absolutely essential, it's always best to move shrubs only when they're dormant.

Hydrangeas need copious amounts of water, its been quite dry recently so watering wouldn't hurt indry spells and from mext spring keep a close eye on it.....
oh , just thought did you prune it back befor moving it?
takes stress off the roots if theres less to support above ground, don't expect flowers next year though, give it time...... keep it hydrated and hope its fine

You moved it at the worse possible time. I would leave it alone until Spring. It is still in transplant shock. The autumn/winter will give it time to recover. See what happens in the Spring then decide what to do with it.

We had to move one in summertime too so I pruned it back and took loads of cuttings.......it survived......as did the cuttings ?

You don't say how big it is, but cutting back will give it the best chance.
