i would ask someone directly like bamboo on here for your answer to that question im sure he will know . he knows his stuff .

this is a difficult one to solve, and it involves messing up your lawn to some extent. You need to uncover the major woody roots which probably snake all over the lawn. You'll find them by noticing where the growth is coming from, so that gives you a clue and hopefully obviates the need to dig up the whole lawn - when you've uncovered them, drill into them with a medium sized wood bit to make holes about quarter inch deep. Fill the holes with neat SBK, but be very careful, it's like water, don't spill it anywhere, wear gloves. Then cover with plastic or upturned pots, or bits of stone, anything like that, and wait about six weeks or till next Spring. Fill in the areas with a little soil and apply grass seed, or replace turf if the areas are large.

i knew bamboo would know lol . wow thats sounds like quite a mission bamboo but it makes sense i guess ..
