Several years ago I came across some black pansies growing in a display. Couldn't find out the variety so have never been able to buy any. Does anyone know what they might be? They were quite striking.

You should have no trouble finding them at any decent garden center within the next couple weeks. Also check the seed section or just ask them for black pansies.

Thank you all. I had been too busy moving house then doing it all up to think about pansies. Now I have the time I remembered them.

They'll be available when the summer bedding stuff appears in garden centres, so check out what's there from early to mid April onwards. That and black petunias tend to sell out quite quickly, so best to grab 'em when you see 'em.
