I've just received a curry plant from Amazon and very healthy it looks too. I want it to hang near the bird feeder to ward off a cat which likes to sit on the pergola just above. It's worth a try anyway.
Can I plant it out in a hanging basket now? I'm not sure since it had grey leaves.

Thank you, Bamboo, that was my instinct. The grey leaves suggest that. I'll keep it on the kitchen windowsill for a while then.

If you mean Helichrysum italicum, its only frost hardy, which means not hardy at all, really. Usually placed outdoors when the summer bedding goes out, end of May.
