This is going to sound very strange but please bare with me. I planted a lemon seed a few months ago which so far has come to nothing but the 3 inch pot is in the bathroom and since Monday every morning when i have a shower there are tiny translucent worms 'dancing' in the pot and dont appear any other time. I am going to put the pot outside but just wondered what they are, baby earth worms? thanks

These could be nematodes in the soil. Some are beneficial to plants some are harmful. No way to tell right now.

And there are a number of other soil organisms, including tiny millipedes, that could come out with the humidity.
I'm afraid that the lemon seed is a goner, though. It should have come up within a few weeks, and they don't usually "keep" well in moist soil.
I would try again, with a nice, plump seed, with all of the fruit and juice washed off of it. Plant it about a cm deep, in a fast draining potting compost, and set the pot on or next to a heat register or radiator, then move it to a sunny window when the seed sprouts.

Possibly fungus gnat larvae. Have you noticed tiny black gnats dancing around the house?
