Hi, Is there any reason why I cant plant two variety of asparagus next to each other? Also what is the best variety to be grow in the North of the UK?

There's no reason you can't grow different varieties side by side. Some popular varieties include: Ariane, Guelph Millenium F1 hybrid, Connovers Colossal, Stewart Purple, Gijnlim F1 hybrid, Pacific Purple F1, Mondeo, Jersey Giant F1.
