Hi, after having looked at your previous question, I think this would just add to your woodland, not hide it, this is not a shrub, it's a tree that will grow to about 50ft high with a spread of 15ft, plus it's only borderline fully hardy, do you know the ph of your soil, these prefer a neutral to acid soil, although this particular 1 will tolerate an alkaline soil, which should be moist but well drained, plus it's quite a vigorous grower, Derek.

Derek has a good point. If this tree were a good choice you would see it in many gardens and woodlands. If you really are a complete beginner I'd advise you to take note of Bamboo's suggestions - she has a lifetime of professional gardening behind her.

My friend had a matureone and yes, it makes a huge plant, shrub-like in habit, but conical and statuesque. Its a beautiful sight in full bloom. I was amazed she'd managed to get it to about 30 feet high in Dundee on the East coast of Scotland. Microclimate is a very important consideration with borderline hardy plants! :)
