Can any one tell me please if Japanese Acer trees produce seeds.

Thank you Gnarly gnome no mine are not as old as yours 20 years they are about 8 years or less some are the past few years old.

They are not huge seeds so late summer check through the bush/tree and you may see them developing just before leaf fall pick them off and sow them straight away easy to grow I put them on top of the compost and cover with grit and let them get on with it ... watch out for mice they love them.

Thank you for your knowledge Gnarl Gnome. I wish mice would come and eat the thousands of seeds that fall into my garden and seed themselves from the church yards Sycamore seeds but as rats come from the church yard into my garden there will be no mice as mice wont live where rats are.

yes they do , how old is yours as my trees over 20 years all produce every year they dont stay on for long as they drop off or the birds eat them I have found , but the newly planted bushes havnt and they have been in 5/6 years.
