no they are two different mints Bergamot Mint is Mentha Citrata whilst Nepeta is the cat mint

Sorry, I should have specified, but I also agree with moongrower. Bergamot mint (Mentha) looks and acts virtually identical to peppermint, except for the taste. "Bergamot" (Monarda) is a taller plant with showy flowers in shades of scarlet, red, pink, fuchsia, or white.
