Hi have now bought conifers to form a wind/privacy fence. The ground the other side of my fence is un-maintained parish land. Last year with the seed heads blowing one particular day it looked like a snowstorm, apparently the person who maintained it gave up 2 yrs ago and it is being left to go 'natural'
What is the best way to plant for maximum success they are approx 2ft high and 20 of them (since highways have cut the embankment you can see into across the unmaintained land into my garden as you come round the bends on the main road and the car headlights light up my patio) hence conifers
There are no neighbours to be affected and are well away from my property

There are many different varieties which grow to different heights and are of varying hardiness. Many are damaged by strong winds but as they are to be a windbreak the susceptible side will hopefully be on the side of the parish land. Take Rosie's advice.

Hi there. If you visit the websites that sell hedging plants, they will tell you how to plant your conifers (assuming you know what variety you've bought).
