A big thank you to everyone who gave advice on taking cuttings, having just checked I have successfully rooted 6 pyracantha and 10 laurels. Having over an acre of garden I was buying evergreen large plants but them pesky wabbits keep eating them! At least now I can replenish less expensively, although speaking to the local councillor she told me laurels can be classes as evasive the same as conifers if used for hedging! She says native hedging should be used but I think I will agree to disagree. With 23 houses being built on to my boundary I want to retain my privacy as much as possible, once again thank you al

Your laurels won't be invasive if you keep them clipped.
the problem would be if they were left to grow tall and wide.
