I am a beginner gardening, and i am removing an old rotten fence. In it's place I won't to plant a hedge (Ligustrum Ovalifolium) but I unsure when the best time to plant it is. Can anyone help. Thanks

September/October, though September's probably better where you are. Keep well watered if necessary, cut all shoots back by a third to a half in Spring next year (this is to encourage the plants to thicken up rather than just getting tall and spindly).
