Verdone is a good lawn weed killer for them tough perennial weeds, it kills the roots completely and does not harm the grass.

Agree - Verdone Extra is probably the best available. Needs watering or spraying on - be sure to treat the whole lawn, not just areas where weeds are, and you should feed the grass with a separate lawn feed either at the same time, or a couple of days before or after.
