Ive got a camilia in a large pot the leaves and stems are very weedy looking it does bloom but would it be better out of the pot and planted in the ground we have a north back garden so would it survive

Yes, it would be better in the ground, and a north back garden is fine - just don't plant it where the early morning sun gets to it in the winter. This plant prefers acidic soil, so hopefully yours isn't chalky and alkaline.
