Plant ID! I found this volunteer in a parking lot. It looked too interesting to be a weed, though it probably is. I had to save it. Any idea what it is??

I just had another thought, some of the native western species of Ipomoea (Morning Glories) also look very much like that.

Thanks! I put it in the ground- so we will see what happens :) I think you are right with the eucalyptus, but I'll update as it grows!

It looks like a baby Eucalyptus, but I don't know what species. They change drastically in foliage and growth habit as they grow up. The clincher would be if it had the distinctive Euc. scent in the leaves.
