Do I cut the main stem off my dendrobium as I have lots of side shoots and I think that's where the flowers will form. The main stem is very tall looks quite ugly on the plant now.

Did the main stem already bloom? In some species, the flowers form on the bare stems from last year.

yes you can cut it out. it wont harm the plant.
