Are you feeding it on a regular basis? Sounds like it is running out of gas so to speak. Also has the lighting changed for some reason?

I look after quite a few Dicksonias for a client, each year we put them in the polly tunnel for the winter and bring them out at the end of may, they always look healthy and the leaves never seem to be any different, they are in decent sized pots and the client never feeds them.
