some of the leaves on my hebe wiri mist veronica have gone dark brown, please advise

It is quite possibly caused initially by a fungus called downy mildew, the after effects of which turn foliage brown. Are the leaves low down (back down the stem) or towards the ends of the shoots. If the former only, it may just be old foliage dying.
