I have had a lot of health issues lately so have got to change my Lawn Mower, to a reliable lighter one!
At present I have an old *Hayter* (petrol), that was always hard to start up; the handle has broken & I just cant find anyone that can replace it, (even 2nd hand?)
Can anyone suggest a reliable, not too heavy Lawn Mower please? My part time gardener has just left, so I'm worried about my lovely, smallish garden will get out of hand?

A battery mower, mine is a Bosch Rotak but there are others available. I changed from a petrol mower for the same reason.

Alternatively, get rid of the lawn and replace with gravel, slate, or similar. That's what we did when health issues became a problem.

Provided you're not desperate to have stripes on the lawn, I'd suggest an electric hover mower such as a Flymo, but check various models, some are large and heavier than others. If it's a small lawn, choose a small one. If money's not too much of an issue, have a look at robotic mowers, they'll do it while you're sitting with a glass of wine and reading...
