Been searching and cannot find it listed as endangered. It is considered a pest. Get it off the plant and.......

I have left him where he is because I like moths and butterflies and he his welcome to help himself to some buddliea - thanks for all your comments - Jane

Certainly very common in the Midlands, they tend to strip the leaves of Great Mullein and reduce them to lace.
