Can anyone ID this plant for me ??
Saw this in a NT house garden at the weekend and have no idea what it is - hopefully someone can recognise it
It had flowers similar to Verbena but with a very wierd stalk and no leaves

I think its Crassula pyramidalis? I'll have to check up to be sure though...

Wow - thanks for the fast response. There were quite a few in the borders at Packwood House (near Warwick) of various sizes/ages so maybe that suggests that it may be hardy - though it was quite a well sheltered area

South African so unlikely to be hardy. I only know of one or two that are hardy enough to be grown outside here such as C. sarcocaulis and that hates winter wet.

Just found this about it:
"Does best in a warm, dry spot in a rock garden with perfect drainage. Prune back stems to just above the base in late winter."
