I have a very old jasmine in my garden. As my garden is quite small and the Jasmine is taking up a lot of room I would like to cut it right back - is that safe - I don't want to kill it!

Well it won't flower well the year after, but I suggest you reserve any hard and heavy pruning for winter, when the plant is dormant, and just limit yourself to a trim at the moment. It's unlikely to kill it if you hard prune in winter.

How do I say thanks?
