I have a large clematis which is covering my low fence, this year there has not been a lot of flowers. I am not sure if it has been the weather or it needs pruning back. If it needs pruning how hard do you prune back.

Ah well, that depends entirely on what variety of clematis it is - do you know? Can you post a photograph, preferably showing a flower as well as leaves?
