Hi I haven't been on this site for a long time, but here I am again, one question I have a Cytisus Bantandiere which flowered this year for the first time. I did hear it doesn't like a lot of pruning is it OK just to take off about a foot or so from the leggy branches ?

Thank-you very much Derek that's a great help I just need to tidy it up which I now know I can do.

Hi, nice to hear from you again, this is pruning group 1, just a light prune, to cut out dead, diseased or crossing branches, and to keep shape, so yes you can cut it back to a strong bud, do it in late winter or early spring, while the plant is still dormant, Derek.
