My hydrangea "unique" finally died this year after spending about 15 years of its life being moved around from pots then to different garden situations without bothering it.I will be holding a dignified ceremony for it this Thursday if anyone's interested.

More information please. Is the hydrangea in the ground, how long have you had it, have you pruned it in the last year and if so, when?
Photo of dahlias would be useful, assuming you're keeping them well watered.
