When and how do I cut my wisteria back, its just having its second flush of blooms?

Answers

Do it as soon as the blooms fade - classic times for pruning wisteria are mid February, and August. Reduce some of the laterals (side shoots) by half, and others by two thirds, or down to about ten inches, depending on how much area its supposed to cover. Then reduce the same ones you cut this time again by a similar amount in mid February.
