my confiers are turning brown - why

Answers

If you live in the south, or anywhere that's had drought for the last few weeks, it'll be lack of water.

Here in the south we have had no rain for a good four months now, everything is beggining to shut down it looks like autumn out there and many trees have lost their leaves or the leaves are brown, we desperately need loads of water and your poor conifer needs some too.

Lawsy, Grandmage, it sounds like Arizona...in a bad year! I hope you get some rain soon!

Thanks Tug, although we had a shower today, it went nowhere, my garden looks a wreck !

If its any comfort Grandmage, we're in August - in the next week or so, we start to get heavy dews overnight, which helps the drought situation. Precursor of Autumn though, so maybe not such a great comfort after all, lol!

Thanks for that Bamboo, my children have already mentioned Christmas!!!!!!!!! Lol

Really Grandmage ? I assume they're reasonably young still then - mine, who are now old (males, 30 and 31) haven't wanted to talk about Christmas since they were about 24... its always me who brings it up, usually at the end of August, and only then because that's the last Bank Hol before Christmas, and everyone groans when I do, lol!

Bamboo, my daughter is 32 almost 33 and my son is 29 !!!!! They just love Christmas. Also now we have a grandson its even more exciting !

Ah, grandchildren, think that makes all the difference - not only do I not have grandchildren, neither of my sons is showing any signs of either settling down or producing offspring (sigh....)

Plenty of time Bamboo, dont rush them !! Lol My daughter still wants a 'stocking' from santa and my son insists on a pillow case, (get more in it ! ) kids at heart.

I think one of the problems I have is that I now live in a one bed flat, so no room for everyone to stay over - well, unless they sleep on the floor, lol! As for don't rush them, I'm beginning to wonder if I'll be alive by the time they produce children... I'm already at the stage where bending over the cot might mean orthopaedic surgery, lol!
