Hya Thank you all very much for your comments i find them all very helpful, and sure to use them in My Garden, My next question, is regarding the Weed Flame Gun, i know they have been on sale for some time but have never tried one and wondered if any of you have had the pleasure, i have heard lots of comments on the web about them, but you cannot really tell if its sales patter or whatever, also they come in lots of different Prices, some come with canisters some dont, i would really like your advice on this matter if you have used this appliance and what you think, before i throw my money away as usual, look forward to your reply's Thanking you all, piperdanny123

Yes, they work well on young annual weeds, but perennials like bindweed and dandelions come right back up. Same problem with vinegar, soap, vegetable oil, or most other "natural" weed controls.

Brother in law bought one, scorched earth in a matter of days. he was pleased as punch till they regrew from the roots again. waste of money. either dig out thoroughly or use a systemic weedkiller [glyphosate] to kill the roots.

Hya Thanks again for your advice, i was'nt sure about using one of these items on My weeds, but its always best to ask advice, and i have decided against Buying one of these Gas Weed Treatment, it will save me the time and trouble to find out that its no good, and will also stop Me from throwing money away, so thank you again, piperdanny123

No good in that they don't have any effect on the weed roots below so they pop up again quickly. I find a weed killing spray very effective in that it kills the whole plant from top to bottom. I have seen them at the local garden center and the sale of these things hasn't exactly been catching fire.
