how do i i get rid of gooseberry fly?also why are my tomatoes rotting a round tops & falling off plant

The tomato problem sounds like tomato blight. No cure now it's gone this far, best to destroy them, don't compost the plants.
As for the gooseberry, if it is sawfly this will eat all of the leaves except, perhaps, the stalks. This insect can have 3 or 4 generations per year (!) and you have to break the cycle as they leave the bush to pupate, then return to lay eggs...which hatch into caterpillars, then, munch, munch again! Try Provado Ultimate bug Killer, or if you are organic, pick off every little caterpillar!!
