I recently used Verdone extra on my lawn (I used the term lawn loosely) to eradicate daisies and clover and have since decided I'd like to extend part of a border. Since this would mean removing part of the afore mentioned lawn I am wondering how long it remains in the soil, if at all.
If it's a matter of many weeks I'd rather wait until spring before doing the planting so would there be any I'll effect of me covering the lawn with black plastic to kill it off over winter.
Thanks for any comments or advice.

Thank you Bamboo. I will follow your advice. Gives me a while longer to make my mind up over plant choices.

Best wait till spring - verdone extra does have a lingering effect, its a 'one treatment in the growing season' product. Not sure its worth covering with black plastic though - you'll still have to take off the dead turf because it'll have a root mat an inch or more thick.
