I am going to put 2 long plant containers under my front room window. I would like to put something in these planters that will look nice all year round. They will not get that much sun (some in morning) and I don't want them to get too big or grow up the house (ie like an ivy). Any ideas would be most welcome. Thank you.

I reckon Heucheras would look good in them, Shirley...why not plant small spring bulbs underneath too?

Hi Shirley and welcome to GoY. I'm not going to give you advice on what to put in your planters but if you have a window cleaner make sure he/she does not stand on them!
