My victoria plum tree has produced a large crop of fruit.
They appear to be ripening nicely, but are not yet coming off easily, apart from a few dropping off.
My only problem is that the fruit has very little flavour, neither sweet or sour.
Any ideas as to what is wrong?

Agree when ripe they will, almost, fall into your hand. The gentlest touch and, there you go! They will also taste wonderful once ripe!

They are not fully ripened. You can't rush perfection. Wait for the fruit to fully ripen & they will easily release from the tree. They will also smell very sweet when ripen.
