I have just bought two Tillandsia (air plants) and have put one each in two bathrooms. I know they like light and regular misting but what do I do to them before I go away for two weeks at the end of this month? There is nobody who can water them for me.

Not much you can do except find a sitter. Immersing it in water for a half hour will hold it for a week, but not much beyond that.
