I broke up and repotted a gardenia a couple of months ago as it seemed a bit bit pot-bound and the some of the leaves were starting to turn a bit yellow. So far it's still living :) but leaves are still yellowing. I only used normal compost and use Miracle gro on it, but I'm wondering if it needs ericaecous feed/compost? Can anyone advise?

Water in Aberdeenshire is soft Bamboo, though it has rained so much up here that tap water isn't needed!

I hesitated before I added the last bit, MG - I seemed to vaguely recall you've told me before the water's soft up there, but decided to err on the side of caution anyway, lol

Yes - its an acid lover, so ericaceous compost would be good, as would watering with rain water, or cooled, boiled water if your tapwater is hard.
