My Salix kilmarnock has gone the same way as the other readers .I replanted it into a bigger pot last year and it started great this year but then the leaves went yellowish with a sooty appearance on the underside off great this year .It has been well watered and fed

These usually suffer from rust, but yours sounds more like sooty mildew or mould - spray with a fungicide and spray at the first hint of trouble next year.
