Idaho, United States
I was sent a monkey puzzle tree seedling as a gift. I live in Idaho near the Oregon border and I want to give this special tree a fair start. Should I plant it in a pot and keep it in the house until it get better established? Or go ahead and plant it outside? I have tried to study up on this way cool tree but I'm still a bit (puzzled) about it's care.

Unfortunately, Monkey Puzzle is only hardy at that latitude near the coast. Better as an indoor-outdoor tree in your area. I'd plant a White Fir, instead.
