I nicked a cutting of french marjoram from southern brittany summer 2014 it thrived throough last winter on the kitchen window sill and has been in a pot under an east facing window all summer, what is the plan to seeit survive the winter this year, Inlive in dronfield quite high near sheffield

If its Oreganum onites (french or pot marjoram) it will be more tender than other oreganos/marjoram and may need winter protection from frosts

It's probably quite woody by now, Andy, so I would cut it back to about an inch or two above soil level, and pot it into some fresh compost. You can keep it indoors on a sunny windowsill to encourage new growth through the winter months, or put the pot outdoors in a sheltered, sunny position and it'll put up fresh, soft growth next spring.
