I have a small acer - bright red at the moment - but its leaves have white patches on them which doesn't look healthy. Does anyone know what they are and what I can do about it?

Need a photo. It could be sun scorch or a fungus.

To me it sounds like sun on rain spots on the leaves has caused the problem but, without a photo, can't give a definitive answer.

Might be powdery mildew - photo's worth posting for diagnostic purposes, but if its mildew, though it might indicate dryness at the root so if it needs watering, water, but otherwise, no point doing anything, its about to lose its leaves anyway as autumn progresses.

How do I say thanks?
