Ash die back.
Question asked 1720 29th October. Urgent answer needed.
Does anyone (ideally in the Manchester area) feel qualified to talk on TV about ash die back? I've been approached by BBC Breakfast who are putting together an item but I told them I'm not an expert on it.
I'm hoping someone will answer immediately as I need to know before 6pm today.

Was not aware of the UK ash problem till now. Reminiscent of the blight of the American chestnut. In 100 years the number went from 3 billion to a few hundred.

Thanks, Steragram. I'm watching the item now and they have got someone from the Woodland Trust.

Brilliant - they are very keen on disease identification and control.

Woodland Trust would help but probably too late now.
