Any advice please on how to protect mimosa through the winter. Planted early summer in a large terracotta container, standing in a south facing corner sheltered from the west by a fence and from the north by the house wall. Garden enclosed by a hedge. Grown really well through summer so desperate to keep it going.

As nobody else has answered and its not nice to get no replies my guess would be that you've done your best, and your climate is mild. I hope you are lucky, but one hard winter may well challenge it.
You might be able to cover it with fleece while it is young but you'll have to put it on when theres a frost warning and remove it when the frost has gone (every time...)
It would be better in the ground really as the roots can get deeper and less likely to be frozen.
