I've never once managed to get any of the ones I've bought to flower again - I usually buy a red one at Christmas, but to be honest, I'm probably not caring for them properly when they;ve finished flowering!

They do best with very bright light, almost as much as cacti need, occasional light feeding, and need short days and long nights to form flower buds. They refuse to bloom if they are exposed to too much artificial light.

Ah, well that explains it - nothing has been right for mine to flower again... short days long nights suggests winter here, but that likely means they wouldn't flower in time for Christmas, and would be exposed to too much artificial light. I think I'll stick to buying one whenever I want one...

Around here, they naturally bloom in January and February--as long as they aren't too close to the porch light!

It's a Kalanchoe blossfeldiana - often in flower when bought originally.
