I have a yucca plant that has flowered with a tall white flower when it is finished do I cut down the very thick stem, or leave it ? Thank you

If it is an evergreen type, such as Y. recurvifolia, it will show new growth near the base of the flowering stem, so be careful not to hurt that--won't kill it, but may make the new rosette ugly. If an herbaceous type, such as Y. filifera, the new growth is more likely to appear next to where the old rosette was next spring.
