Pass, no idea - are they infested with aphids or covered in mildew? Black spot? Leaf spot? Did you forget to water them enough?

This happened to me last year they all went sort of slimy in the ground. Was told it was a virus but never really knew for sure.They do need a lot of water though especially if they are near shrubs or trees which gobbles up the water and the food.
