I would say that grasshoppers are definitely friends. apart from the fact they don't cause any harm that i know of, many gardeners believe thatto have them in the garden is a sign of a good well balanced garden. especially from an organic point of view. diadon

They are friends.

Every once in a while, grasshoppers chew up some of my plants, but they rarely become numerous enough to do serious damage. Usually, they are just good bird food.

And given that we do want birds in our garden...

My chooks love them so they are definitely friends to us!
