Something has eaten all the leaves on my swede any ideas as to what?. Will the fact there is very little l;eaf affect the crop will it still be okl ok to eat them ?

Could be pigeon damage or slugs/snails unless the root grows new leaves I doubt it will get any bigger than it is right now. Yes it will be fine to eat your swedes.
