missing plant
I have found a broken label that just says 'ex Karine'. the plant would have been from a plant fair/hps stall as it is written on a bit of washing up bottle. But what was it originally?
any suggestions gratefully received.

"ex Karine" probably means that it was grown from seed from a 'Karine' poppy.

I never knew that "ex" also had a botanical use. Thanks Tug!

That's interesting as it was no where near the poppy that is in that bit of the bed. I will have a look and see if I can match it up with photos of it. I knew what the ex bit meant as I have a few plants that are from seeds of named varieties and obviously they don't always come true.
thanks for the help.

Not so much a botanical use, as a horticultural one. I didn't learn about it until the Phoenix Orchid Society had their annual show at our nursery last April. Learn something new every day!

All I could find is that there is a oriental poppy that goes by the name of "Karine". I hope that is helpful to you.
