I am looking for some plant advice for a raised bed in my front garden.
I have two raised beds on either side of the path to the front door. On one side I have three plants in the bed - Osmanthus, Acer Palmatum senkaki, and Choisya ternata all of which are growing well and have been in for about 10 years.
On the other side I have never had any plants but would like suggestions for interesting probably evergreen plants that would not grow too tall - about 70 cm I think.
The bed is 40cm at its highest point 70cm wide and 390cm long.

I would use a grouping just as varied as the one opposite it, just for good design. Unfortunately, I am not familiar enough with the plant palette in the UK to make truly useful suggestions. What kind of Osmanthus is it, Liz? There are several different possible kinds, and which one may have a bearing on the best plant to put "across the table" from it.

Perhaps a border of various hebes? The habit would tie them together and the colours could be varied. Taller shrubs might make the path rather enclosed and hide the views of the planting behind?
