well that's what I thought when I bought it Owd, but my RHS book says bulbicodium is deep yellow. so I was wondering if it might be one of the other species such N romieuxii. there again could well be a recent hybrid.
I suspect these were from packets that weren't sold so they were just potted up.

There are a fair number of this shaped of Narcissus around. Nn. bulbocodium, romieuxii, and others whose names escape me at the moment. There are also a lot of hybrids too.

Have a look at N.romieuxii, again on Pacific Bulb Society website. There are a few variations of it but you need to check for yourself as you can see to compare with the actual flower.

It is indeed a Narcissus. It is one of the bulbocodium section. They range in colour from pure white to deep yellow. Not up enough on them to give a definite name though.
