Found this site looking for "prune Clerodendrum thomsoniae", so that tells you what version I want to prune. Mine is in a pot and I want it to cover a trellis. Should I cut severely back to green w wood or leave it alone?

If you look at this site belonging to the RHS you will find lots of info on the plant. it is pruning group 11
This is the advice from the RHS : This group of vigorous climbers flower on previous or current year's growth and don't need regular pruning. However trimming may be needed to keep them to the space available.
