Have just returned from a trip to Spain. In the south near the coast I came across this clump of what I think are a type of daffodil . There werent any in gardens . They were growing in a national park near the coast. I didn't see any others , only this clump beside the road. I can't find them in the wildflower book. Question is are they daffodils? And if not can anyone name them. The height was about 20 cms

These will be Narcissus tazetta, multi headed with small cups. They have a very strong scennt and will be most familiar to growers as 'Paperwhite's. Nice find, Barbarak.

Thank you. I didn't realise they grow wild, presumably they grow outdoors in the warmer climates.

My sister brought back pictures of the form that grows wild in Palestine--similar, but with deep gold cups, and a few more blooms per stem.

How do I say thanks?
