Have just returned from a trip to Spain. In the south near the coast I came across this clump of what I think are a type of daffodil . There werent any in gardens . They were growing in a national park near the coast. I didn't see any others , only this clump beside the road. I can't find them in the wildflower book. Question is are they daffodils? And if not can anyone name them. The height was about 20 cms

Thank you. I didn't realise they grow wild, presumably they grow outdoors in the warmer climates.

My sister brought back pictures of the form that grows wild in Palestine--similar, but with deep gold cups, and a few more blooms per stem.

These will be Narcissus tazetta, multi headed with small cups. They have a very strong scennt and will be most familiar to growers as 'Paperwhite's. Nice find, Barbarak.
